Where it gets interesting
Padauk is an African species found in dense equatorial rainforests. It is tough, stable, easy to work with
and valued for its decorative qualities. Typically orange to reddish in color, it oxidizes over time to a purple-brown. It is used for musical instruments, furniture, and flooring.
