VINTAGE NATURALS

Looking for a vintage or rustic look? You can find all of our vintage, clusters, knotty, & rustic specie types in this product line. Vintage Veneer is sliced from hand-hewn beams reclaimed from old farmhouses, barns, or commercial buildings. Knotty, clusters and rustic veneer refers to the appearance of natural marks and irregularities in the wood that are the result of a tree’s specie, growth pattern, and unique history.

Dooge Enhanced

DYED NATURALS

After a log is cut, it goes through a bleaching process and then, if desired, dyed in a similar manner. This allows for more control in the coloring process and less need for staining during finishing. Dying materials gives us the ability to continue to duplicate that color for ongoing large projects requiring consistency.

FUMED NATURALS

Fumed Veneers provide a rich elegant look that can often be an alternative to traditional dark woods. Unlike staining, fuming penetrates the veneer using a vacuum chamber process with the introduction of ammonia, resulting in deep, permanent color that can vary by species and accentuate patterns and character. Almost any wood with tannins can be fumed and Dooge Veneers inventories a wide selection of high quality fumed veneers. Most of this inventory is available in FSC-certified materials.

CONSTANT COLOR NATURALS

Constant Color (CoCo) is processed using water pressure and heat to mimic natural aging, resulting in consistency and tones that echo the look and feel of aged bog oak. The CoCo process accelerates the veneer’s natural change of color and imbues tones deeply into the wood. Dooge Veneers is the exclusive US distributor for new FSC- Certified CoCo Veneers. We inventory a wide selection of FSC European Oak.

RECONSTITUTED NATURALS

Reconstituted Veneer is rotary cut veneers from fast-growing secondary species, then dyed, layered, laminated, and laid up with grain that replicates a natural species. It offers outstanding consistency in color and grain, making it an ideal choice for large- scale architectural projects. Because it’s man-made, flitches are available in standard sizes that simplify planning and maximize yield.

MUTO

Muto Grid is created from individual, pre-sanded veneer sheets. Thanks to a fleece backing, the veneers are also easy and versatile to process. The products of the muto GRID series have a high strength and can still be bent well. They are therefore also suitable for deformations and substrates that are difficult to process. The veneer sheets can be processed without any problems, like normal spliced veneers, and, for example, pressed onto panels with any common veneer press without any further difficulties.
