Where it gets interesting
Known by many names worldwide, this wood resembles walnut but is not related. Its heartwood ranges from light pink to brown and gray, often with dark irregular striping when quarter cut, and figured material is fairly common. The large tree produces wide veneer leaves suited for architectural use, making it a rare and distinctive choice for interiors.
