Where it gets interesting
Sapele ranges from medium to dark red-brown with a natural luster similar to mahogany. It has a fine grain with stripe and figured variations, including cathedral and pommele patterns. Its strong luster gives a subtle depth, making it popular for furniture, cabinetry, and wall paneling with a mahogany-like look at a more accessible price.
