Where it gets interesting
From the same tree that produces maple syrup, this veneer ranges from creamy white to warm yellow with a fine, luminous texture and straight grain, sometimes marked with natural character. It can also show figured grain such as curly, bird’s eye, and burl, making it popular for distinctive paneling and furniture.
