When millworkers were looking for FSC-Certified Anegre for Health Care REIT’s new headquarters, there was only one place to go: Dooge Veneers. The use of certified wood was critical to the client’s LEED strategy and we were the first, and at the time, the only supplier of FSC Anegre in the country. HealthCare REIT’s new headquarters required more than 130,000 square feet of plain quartered veneer for wall panels, ceilings, and casegoods. The facility also employs green roof terraces, rainwater collection for irrigation, solar heating of water, light harvesting systems, and automated building/energy systems. What’s more, the architects sourced materials locally and were able to divert more than 77% of construction waste for reuse and recycling.

Dooge’s global access to rare, unusual, and high-volume woods provided exclusive access to exceptionally large FSC-Certified Anegre logs—a move that simplified specification, matching, and lay-up for vendors downstream.
