Where it gets interesting
Dillenia is a canopy tree in the Malaysian archipelago that grows over 100 feet tall, with straight, branch-free trunks extending 80 feet or more and buttresses up to 12 feet high. Its heartwood is a rich reddish-brown, while the sapwood has subtle yellow-brown to orange-brown hues.
